AWS Strengthens its Organizational Assets to Guarantee “Best-in-Class” Installations for 2011

Jun 18, 2021 ·   Company News

TORONTO, January 7, 2011 – Atlantic Wind and Solar Inc. (OTC: AWSL) – The Company is at a turning point, which will require a significant increase in organization bandwidth.

Strengthening the Foundation:
In May 2010, the company appointed Fortune 500, high tech, company veteran Mr. Pierre Cousin as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Taking the lead, Cousin reevaluated all facets of the Company’s organization and strategy to ensure it would be best positioned to succeed. This review process proved instrumental in helping the company achieves its 2010 primary objective of efficiently securing as many commercial rooftops as possible before its construction process commenced. Securing these rooftops is viewed as laying the foundation for many years of reoccurring revenues.

Adjusting the organization to ensure quality 2011-2012 deliverables:
To convert 35MW of advanced pipeline into new contracts, and deliver best-in-class installations (right quality, right costs, right schedule), the company has recently implemented changes within its structure to embrace these anticipated challenges. Two key nominations that support this change.

Firstly, we have the pleasure of welcoming Craig Walker, as a new Sales Manager. Craig comes to us from the Financial Services Industry where he had tremendous success. His main focus was originating business in both the private and public sector throughout Canada. Craig gained his experience from within IBM Canada, AT&T Capital Canada, Dell Financial Services Canada and the CIT Group Inc. Craig’s primary focus is to add channel partners to our business, while increasing our territorial coverage in Ontario.

Next, Charles Mazzacato, our Vice President of Business Development, will see his responsibility shifted into two critical areas required to strengthen the company’s ability to execute the large number of projects planned for development in 2011. Charles will (i) build long-term relationships with our suppliers who will be deeply involved in our post-sales process and the successful installations of our contracts, and (ii) reinforce channel and market strategies for the company. Charles possesses a strong technical background, including significant project management and construction experience, and has a highly specialized understanding of power systems for renewable energy. He also has proven success in developing strategic sales relationships and channel strategies historically leading to rapid sales growth.

Speed and execution will be key success factors for 2011. Our recent hires, our new organization, and our business portfolio built in 2010, represent the best assets of the Company.

S-1 / Up-listing:
In October management announced they had completed the corporation’s long awaited financial audit of 2009, financials statements to the end of the third quarter 2010, and were in their final stages of completing the S-1 registration statement. The completed S-1 will enable the company to become SEC reporting, allowing it to apply to up-list onto a senior stock exchange, subject to individual exchange requirements.
To ensure the success of the S-1 registration, to maximize its reception from the investment community, and because our work had already brought us so close to the end of the year, we have decided, with the help of advice from our lawyers, advisers, and consultants, to include in the registration the full year audited financial statements for 2010 rather than the previously planned audited 2009 plus three quarters of 2010. This decision will entail the filing of our S-1 in the January/February timeframe but with fully current and audited financial data.
