TORONTO--(Marketwire - 07/02/10) - Atlantic Wind & Solar Inc. (Pinksheets:AWSL - News) is pleased to announce it has signed an exclusive agreement with Rooftop Solar Developments Inc. (RSD) to expand the reach of Atlantic's rooftop solar energy program.

The agreement encompasses a new concept in securing rural rooftops in Central and Northern Ontario for Atlantic's utility scale solar energy parks.

Rooftop Solar Development's unique approach to securing FIT contract eligible rooftops entails offering farmers and other agricultural related land owners the opportunity to have barns and other utility related buildings erected on their land at no cost to them. The structures will host Atlantic's high yield, high efficiency solar energy systems.

The land owner will gain a building which is new and free, while Atlantic will gain a building which is purpose built and correctly oriented to host its rooftop energy system -- i.e., a building which is perfect.

The electricity generated from these rooftop energy parks will be sold into the grid under the terms and conditions of the Ontario government's Feed In Tariff program.

Atlantic Wind and Solar will be the ultimate owner and manager of the project and FIT contract and will be responsible for the receipt and disbursement of all revenues.
